Census 2020

2019

Strategy, Identity, Type, Copy

The decennial national census is a crucial decision-making tool in American democracy; it is used to draw boundaries for voting districts nationwide, and it directly informs the allocation of funding and resources at every level of governance. Broad participation in the census is critical to ensuring visibility and representation for communities of color—particularly so for Asian Americans, who are among the most undercounted groups in the country. In collaboration with member organizations from NCAPA, I designed a set of digital and print assets encouraging members of the Chinese American community to complete the census. Each graphic has a version in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
